Features

If you want your students to excel on the AP® Exam, you need them to practice every day, not just cramming during last-minute review sessions. Thats why our authors have created a comprehensive program that will help them naturally perfect the material and build skills over time.

Heres what sets our program apart:

Reinforced Skill Categories: Our text includes hundreds of worked examples and thousands of exercises labeled with the specific skills they address. Youll have plenty of opportunities to practice and reinforce your understanding of the four AP® Statistics skill categories.

Exam-Focused Solutions: The modeled solutions in our textbook and companion videos follow the accepted conventions for the AP® Statistics exam rubrics. Youll learn how to approach problems in a way that aligns with what the College Board is looking for.

Formula Sheet Consistency: The formulas and notation used in TPS 7e are exactly the same as the ones provided on the AP® exam formula sheet. You wont have to worry about learning different notation or formulas.

In-Text Exam Tips: Throughout the text, youll find helpful tips and guidance on how to study and prepare for the exam. Well show you common mistakes to avoid and provide valuable hints to increase your chances of success. Plus, well point you to useful College Board resources at the right moments.

Supported Examples and Exercises: Our approach includes 172 worked examples that are paired with parallel exercises. This way, you not only have practice problems, but you also get support along the way. Youll have a detailed response modeled after a complete, well-written solution.

Comprehensive Practice: With over 1600 integrated problems, youll have ample opportunities to apply your knowledge and test your understanding. From "Check Your Understanding" exercises to challenging "Recycle and Review" problems, weve got you covered. Plus, at the end of each section, there are Investigation problems that will help you apply your skills in new and nonroutine ways.

Unit Summaries and Practice: Each unit concludes with a thorough summary that identifies related examples and exercises for each learning target. Youll also find focused review exercises and an AP® Statistics practice test to ensure youre fully prepared.

Cumulative Practice Tests: To help you tackle the full complexity of the AP® Statistics Exam, weve included four cumulative practice tests. These tests increase in complexity as you progress, culminating in a complete model exam.

Video Support: Need extra help? Weve got you covered with 350 worked example and exercise videos. Our experienced AP® Statistics instructor will guide you step-by-step through each problem. You can also access unit review exercise videos to prepare for tests and assess your mastery of the content.

Hands-On Activities: To make learning statistics more engaging, weve integrated 27 hands-on activities throughout the units. These activities allow you to learn through simulation and by "doing" statistics. Theyre perfect for collaborative learning and deeper investigation.

Technology Corners: If youre using a TI-84 graphing calculator, our detailed instructions with screen captures will guide you through creating graphs and performing important statistical analyses. We also offer instructions for TI-Nspire on our student site and digital platform. Plus, we provide free applets that support simulation and hands-on learning.
