Business Principles with Personal Finance for the AP® Course is a high school textbook designed specifically for the new AP® Business with Personal Finance course. Positioned at the intersection of AP® rigor, career readiness, and financial literacy, it fully supports the course framework while also going beyond the AP® Business curriculum to help students navigate real-world business and personal finance decisions with confidence. Throughout the text, students develop durable skills, explore key business concepts, and establish personal finance foundations they can apply both on the AP® exam and in everyday life.
With 31 modules, including five Personal Finance modules, students explore business, entrepreneurship, marketing, management, and more through case studies and real-world application. The modular structure breaks complex topics into clear, digestible segments, supporting students at every stage, regardless of background or prior exposure.
Support for the required Business Canvas Project is integrated throughout the text in Business Canvas Project Application boxes and reinforced in a dedicated appendix.
This program aligns directly with the AP® Business with Personal Finance Course and Exam Description (CED) in scope and sequence, ensuring complete content and skill coverage. AP® content is authored by AP® Business course advisor David Anderson, co-author of Krugman’s Economics for the AP® Course, to create a student-friendly, exam-focused high school textbook.
