BFW is delighted to introduce a brand new FIRST edition textbook designed to offer teachers and students a superior guide to the newest AP® course – AP® Business with Personal Finance.
Entitled Business with Personal Finance for the AP® Course, the new textbook is uniquely positioned at the intersection of AP® rigor, career readiness, and financial literacy. Unlike other business-related textbooks, this title is crafted to meet the comprehensive needs of the brand new AP® course launching officially in Fall 2026.

Business with Personal Finance for the AP® Course offers a detailed alignment to the College Board’s Course and Exam Description (CED) for the new course, ensuring full coverage of exam-relevant content. It is not a general business textbook retrofitted for high school students, but rather a purpose-built AP® resource derived from a trusted college textbook (by authors Neck, Neck, Murray) and thoughtfully adapted by Dave Anderson, who is a respected and experienced co-author of market-leading Krugman’s Economics for the AP® Course. The result is a cohesive, student-accessible, and exam-focused text designed specifically for high school learners.

The tone, pacing, and scaffolding are tailored to support both future business majors and students exploring business and entrepreneurship for the first time, regardless of background or prior exposure. The inclusion of five Personal Finance modules within the 31-module structure further distinguishes this exciting new textbook. The five Personal Finance modules, though not expected to be on the AP® exam, are an integral part of the course, and provide the opportunity for potential enrichment content following the exam.

The Personal Finance component of the course offers students practice with real-life financial decision-making scenarios—ranging from homeownership to student loans to retirement planning. This component also helps meet state-level mandates for personal finance instruction in high school, aligning with the National Standards for Personal Financial Education set by the Council of Economic Education (CEE) and Jumpstart Coalition for  Personal Financial Literacy.
